New to trans ams/formulas.Have some questions???

I am selling my mustang gt and I will be buying a trans am or formula.
I have some questions on the trans am and would greatly appreciate your help on answering my questions.

1.How much hp does a trans am LT1 have?
2.What would a trans am lt1 run in the 1/4 mile both manual and auto.
3.How much hp does an LS1 have?
4.What will an LS1 run in the 1/4 mile both auto and manual.
5.I was wondering is an auto lt1 ws6 is faster than a 99-04 gt 5 speed?
6.Is the formula faster than the trans am?

Thank you if you can answer my questions!!

forumla and transam are basically the same speed wise. Transam will have nicer features but that is it.
Lt1 I do know have 275hp stock.

I'm pretty sure that all of those questions will depend on the year of car your talking about. HP for sure will depend on the year. My 96 TA has 275 I think.

For years a 1994 -1996 LT1 or a 98-99.

Re: New to trans ams/formulas.Have some questions???

96 and 97 Model years where rated at 285 Horsepower and 93-95 Models rated at 275 Horse's. The 98 + was rated between 305 - 345 depending on whether Regular ,WS6 or Firehawk. All these engines are underrated dyno's have on stock vehicles have shown 255 Rear wheel & UP for LT1's and 300 Rear wheel and up for LS1's and if you calculate for drivetrain loss you will come to the conclusion that the rating's are impossible. Anyway as for the Formula vs Trans Am the Formula models should be slightly quicker as they weigh less but usually give real close 0- 60 times and 1/4 times. So just pick the model you think looks better. LT1 car Auto or 6 speed (the 4L60-e is a great tranny performance wise not that great durablilty wise) should run Low 14's to high 13's and the LS1 usually run Low 13's but some have claimed high 12's out of a stock LS1 which is amazing. Also even though someone who owns a 99 + Mustang GT (which I personally think is a cool car) is going to come on saying I'm biased a WS6 LT1 (usually ran high 13's) was rated at 305 Horse's and should fairly easily beat Mustang GT but a Mustang with a some minor mods can even the field.

Manuals come with 3.42's and Auto can be either 2.73's or 3.23's depending on the option's they took.
