GSR vs. CRX

I plan on racing this guy in a crx pretty soon and i was just wondering what you guys thought would happen. The GSR(2000) has i/e and the CRX(1995-1998) has a b18c vtec swap with exhaust.

As much as I hate to see a low brow CRX beat a classy car like your GSR the light weight is gonna eat you alive. And its gonna hurt. Unless you are a way better driver of course.

Re: GSR vs. CRX

It too early to tell. Even tough the odds are against you, you can still win. My friend drove my car (a stock GSR), and beat my other friends civic hatch which had a b20 with a type R head on it.

It's the amount of skill you have, not the amount of horsepower.

Re: GSR vs. CRX

yeah, but that hatch still weighed prolly a good couple hundred pounds more than the CRX, but also had more power by the sound of it, I dont really see the GSR winning unles the kid in the CRX does something wrong, like spins way too muhc off the line, bogs off the line or misses a couple shifts.

I still think he has a good chance at winning...if he can drive.

Re: GSR vs. CRX

well, the gsr has maybe 1-2 HP more at the wheels than the CRX and the CRX weighs probably 800 pounds less

As far as i know the CRX was stopped in production in the US as for like 91. The CRX tho is aka Del Sol in different countries.

Re: GSR vs. CRX

The Del Sol is a CRX. It's a second generation CRX. Only in the US was it sold under the Civic label ('93 - '94). They removed the Civic label from it '95+. In Japan and elsewhere it's a CRX Del Sol. Production was from '92 - '98 for the Del Sol's worldwide, and from '93 - '97 here in the US.
