need best price on astro 97 fuel pump

If anyone can help me with the best price for a fuel pump for a 97 astro 4.3 engine...I would appreciate it...it seems like there are alot of fuel problems in this forum..with the astro....thanks for this forum and all the help it gives..mack

This guy at ebay sells reman fuel pumps and has one up for auction now that will fit your vehicle. Here is the link... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33555

In his description of the pump, he states that he'll sell it now if you need it before auction ends (if the price is right, I'm sure). Looking around the web, it looks like you will pay around $250 to $300 for a new pump.

thanks all for your help. the pump was whinning real loud...I pulled it and found the screens were filled with rust and alot of water in the tank...it cleared it up..there are two screens in it..must pull the inside out to get to the inside screen...it is not hard..just push the two clips and unplug the wires and pull it out..thanks

whirring fuel pump

My fuel pump is just starting to make a sort of whirring/whining sound. Some years ago we had a piece of junk VW Jetta that would make a similar noise just before it left you walking. Had to replace the fuel pump every time it happened to the Jetta. Is it hard to pull the fuel pump? Do you have to drop the fuel tank?
