New to this Scene

I'm sort of new to all this. I was wondering if I could get your input on a good import car that has lots of customizability. I have a friend who drives a CRX and loves it and I am partial to the civic coupe myself.

Would you mind giving your input into what you think is good car for someone just getting into this? I know money is of course the biggest deciding factor and the two cars mentioned are probably the price range I am looking in.

Any information you could provide, good years, models, etc., basically any input at all. I would really appreciate it.
