Just curious if anyone has any information on ECU upgrades for 2000 Maximas....after reading Cheston's experience with his '97 and Nabil's '96, sounds like it is definitely a worthy mod.
"It feels great on the highway too. 3rd, 4th, & 5th gears pull way stronger than before. (1st & 2nd gear wind up too fast for me to notice usually). The car feels posessed, and much more aggressive than before. This is fun... hehe In fact, 2 unlucky guys got roadkilled with ease Sunday night. One was a 2000 BMW 528i and a 93 Mustang GT 5.0"--Cheston "UPRD's ECU mod was done on a 96 SE ECU and placed inside my 97 GXE 5spd. And boy, does the car HAUL MAJOR ASS. As soon as you hit 3800 RPMS in 3rd gear, it's as if there was a magnet infront of your car, as it pulls on you. It's something i can not put in words."--Cheston Those quotes are from like way back in October/November 2000 so I'm hoping someone has some info since it's been a while. Imagine what they could do with the already more powerful 5th Gen. engine. UPRD's site has like, nothing....no info at all....so if any of you guys know anything, I'm sure all rest of us 2k owners would greatly appreciate any news.

I am curious to find out where I can purchase a UPRD ecu for a 96 maxima since like you mentioned their site provides no info at all. I have not yet tried calling them but was wondering if anyone else would have info?

I believe Cheston (from MaximaDriver.com) recently had a Group Buy thing going for the 96/97 Max's I believe. Go to MaximaDriver.com and see if he has any upcoming Group Buys (might have to search around the site)....Costs like $425-450 I think.
