Raced a S200

Raced a S200 last night, he took me off the line by about half a car length-car length but I caught up and pulled on him by around a half a car by the end of the 1/4 (from a stop light) it was a pretty close race - I surprized the hell out of the kid though, Does anyone know what these things are suppost to run in the 1/4? Im not sure what year it was, I assume it was like a 2000 but it could be a brand new one - just assuming it is a few years old cuz the kid was my age, about 18, oh well I beat a S2k finnaly, I'm happy.

lol later on that night i think my FMU shit the bed, or my fuel pump is getting weak. either way I ordered a Walbro 255 and a new 12:! fmu instead of the 10:1 I had.

Re: Raced a S200

what turbo do you have and what psi were you running?
good kill, those s2000 engines make there power WAAAY up top (7500-9000rpm), as much hp as those have they don't have a lot of torque, and you running a turbo will have a lot more through the powerband than him.
i've yet to run a s2000.
edit--nevermind i saw that you were running a t3 (damn good turbo) and that was at 7psi? good setup, did you have to do any fabrication to get the t3 to face the right way? or did you just use the turbo with a different housing?
i don't know much about the saab turbos but i could tell you EVERYTHING there is to know about nissans

An s2000 runs 14.1 at the quarter mile, new or old.

Hmm thats cool so I am probably at a high high 13 or very low 14 im happy

Yeah Im running a t3 with a very small .42 trim. Well most people mount the turbo facing the other way, when I was mounting it at first I had it that way but after looking at it for a while it did not make sence because you had to run the charge pipes over the turbo so that would heat them up, the t3 flange will bolt either way so you can just mount it that way instead. and it works great

Re: Raced a S200

Those S200's are the slower variant of the S2000. Race a real one and get back with us.
