1998 Eagle Talon, some input please

well a friend of mine is planing to get this vehichle.. a 1998 Eagle Talon, the TSi turbo awd version,

dont know all to much about the car and how good it is performace wise, so was hopping you guys could give me and him some insight and opinions on this car,

car goes for about 14k here in canada, so if anyone else has any ideas in that price range, nothing higher at all, lower would be good :P something with performance and no hondas please lol, he doesnt look to kindly upon them

why not try the eagle talon or mitsu eclipse forums in here, which specialize in those cars?

and if ur worry if ur talon would give you performance? dont worry it will! they respound very quickly with little mods

tsi are great cars , they take well to mods about 5'g into the car and proper tunning and you can see easy low 13' up grade the turbo and 12's is a easy goal.. these car are extreamly fast is tunned properly, here in the staters i seen tsi for like 8g+..
good mods are , intake, turbo back exhaust, upper i/c piping, 255lb in tank fuel pump, s-afc and a boost controller and turn up the boost to 16psi and tune the fuel accordingly.. also visit wwwdsmtuners.com

Anytime I mention my '97 tsi I hear about the trannys notoriously being bad, so you might want to keep a look out for that if he's serious about buying the car. Besides that, I really haven't heard many bad things about the relability of the DSM motors. Of course, I'm sure many of the guys, who know a crap-load more about the motors than I do, could prolly tell me otherwise. But i'm just goin on what I've heard so far about the talon's.
