Unhappy High Idle Speed/rpms..help

My 84 Has A Very Hight Idle After It Warms Up About 1600-1800 Rpm And It Does Not Go Down After Driving And Putting It Into Park It Goes Back Up To 1600-1800 Rpm. Is This Normal And If Not What Can I Do About It????? Please Help

your idle control valve needs adjusting. the Bentley service manual covers how to do it and its just a matter of adjusting some screws.
