Anyone have any info on the 2002 Maxima? I have a 95 GLE and was looking at the new Maximas, then read somewhere that for 2002 it will have a new 260 hp engine. And a total redesign for 2003?

I went up to visit the salesperson who sold me my Maxima (She's my friend's Aunt), and she said it was going to have 300hp.
Other reports I see, however, say "275+"..... Laugh...It's going to be eating Beamers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

i've heard 260 out of SCC . About 2 months ago i dunno if its a rumor or what but if their moving the altima's up to 240 they got to be moving the maxima up to 260 or maybe even more . Its gonna be fast

I highly doubt that the Maxima will have 300 hp, not even 275. It mostly likely will be 260
I say this because the new I35 will have 260, there is no way they would have the maxima outpower the 2002 I35.

Well if Nissan follows the 5th gen pattern the Max would have 255, 5hp under the I30... LOL
