Question Little Help ?

Ok well, I found 2 88 5.0's for sale recently and I'm just wondering if it would be a good deal both are in the 3k range and owned by the same person and both actually have 3:83 gears not too sure of anything else but that is all that is listed so...other than that I was wondering if they are also hard on parts and expensive to maintain I mean working on them would be no problem since I would receive free labor but are parts expensive and do they tend to break a lot?
thanks to all who answer!

Not much info to go on. I take it you saw a ad for them? Sounds too high to me without knowing more. Never heard of a factory gear ratio like that for mustangs. If that's all they're telling you, I'd look elsewhere.

I've never heard of 3.83's, but I have heard of 3.73's. Mustang parts, in my opinion, are not expensive especially on a Fox body. If the 88's are in nice shape then $3k doesn't too to unreasonable.
