Smile 1996 Cobra Vs 1992 Vette

I was driving in my 1996 Cobra with 3.73, subframes, K&N air charger system, and underdrives. It was about 11:00, I was on hwy 25(Lakeland Drive) there were two cars in front of me. I had only cared about the car that was the 2nd car in front of me. It was a black 1992 Corvette with a hardtop. I took the curve onto Lakeland at 50 mph to catch up to him. I got up beside him reved the engine a couple of times then sped up to 70 mph when he wouldn't rev or do anything. I'm saying, "Goddammit, probably some old woman." When all of a sudden I see headlights racing up behind me, too low to be anything else. I downshift to third, I'm at 5000 and pulling hard. There is nothing like the sound of a Cobra DOHC haulng ass. I'm pulling away from him when at about 110, two cars pull onto the road and both of us let off. "Shit" I One of the cars move over and I wait for the vette. He pulls up beside and drops it. He gets the lead since he started, then I start catching up and passing him until I hit about 125 mph then I let off( I hate having to go faster espically on those hills) and he keeps going. I am pretty sure he has more top end than me so I decided to stop first. I wish I had the money to put a 6 speed in my car then I could put some 4.30 on. He slows back down and waits for me. I pull up and we both wave and laugh. We make our cars jump in front of the other and do little small races but that is about it. It was a nice vette.
