b16a2 with performance cams.........
Say I put Crower stage II cam shafts in a b16a2 and then also installed Crower dual springs and retainers, other then a major jump in hp what else would that effect? Would doing this increase the redline of the engine or would other things need to be changed to do that? and one last question....would the springs and retainers do anything for hp or are they just necessary for handling the performance cams?
DONT RESPOND IF YOU DONT REALLY KNOW. |

I'm not sure whether the cams would raise your redline or not. but the springs and retainers would keep your valves from floating at high rpms. which would allow you to reach a higher redline.

yes having lighter valvetrain parts and more agressive cams will allow for higher rpms to be attained, thus giving more top end HP.
