Tundra Exhaust

Hello, I was looking to put dual exhaust on my Tundra in the summer, only I dont know anything about exhaust. I was wondering if anyone had any good exhaust on their Tundra that they could reccomend. Im looking for a powerful loud sound and good performance. Please let me know what you think.

Midas

I went to Midas and they installed a muffler (I forgot the name) that was supposed to be better than Flowmaster. I got the 33 series which is more an off-road type and it is LOUD! In fact, it's louder than the Flowmaster I had on my F-150. The best thing is that i do notice the power difference, especially when hauling and going fast up hills. It sounds better than any Flowmaster and even better than the Borla my friend had installed on his Tundra. They do have a 55 series that is quieter but what the heck! It cost $280 installed. Not bad given that the Borla was over $700 installed.

Ravin Muffler

Also, I just installed a K&N FIPK intake ($239 shipped from crutchfield.com). I can't tell you how much power the intake coupled with the free flow exhaust gives the truck! It's massive power you can really feel and hear.

pipes

TRD sells a dual exhaust. A little pricey, perfect fit and good sound. Borla also makes an aftermaket exhaust for the Tundra. I had Flowmaster (70 series?) on my GMC p/u and it was a bit 'boomy' in the cabin... that may have been partly because of the side exit. The Borla I saw on the Tundra was dual/rear exit and looked good.
