03 Stall Problem

My 03 has been stalling randomly as the car slows down to a stop. It it doesn't stall, the tach drops to around and under 500RPMs. It's happened a few times now, but it freaks me out, because you know how hard a car is to control when turning into a parking spot and it stalls... Help!

Re: 03 Stall Problem

Mine has been doing this since day one! Especially right around 1/4 of a tank. It's been serviced, recalled, updated and had sensors replaced. Nothing helped. I think the 03 is a general lemon.

Re: 03 Stall Problem

keep hassling your dealer. you paid for the warranty and they have to fix it. parts aren't cheap for these things you don't wanna have to pay for them when the warranty runs out. good luck in your fight!

Re: 03 Stall Problem

I have the same problem...take it to the dealership and tell them to search for a technical service bulletin that was issued on Jan 1, 2004. I beleive that bulletin addresses the problem. I'm going to take my car this week to get it serviced.

Also, your state's lemon law (try this first before hiring a lawyer) will do the job!!!

Re: 03 Stall Problem

If under 36K..which i hope it would be for an 03 tell them you want it fixed. And if something keeps going wrong with it, its the dealers fault and they have to continue fixing it, untill it is fixed!

My car had the same problem. There is bulletin out on the IAC valve. Check with your dealership, it also may be caused by erratic fuel pump pressure. I had both of these replaced about a month ago. Hope this helps.
