My 85 s10 has no back-up lights, and the clutch switch does not work (you could start it without pushing clutch down)! I looked into this and found that somebody took the purple back-up wire (to fuse box) and yellow clutch switch wire from the ignition and wire nutted them together!! How can I fix this, and why would someone do this?? Please help!!

Re: Need wiring (electrical) expert over here!!
well the reason why someone would do that is maybe it usedtahave a remote start wereu need to be able to start the truck without pressing the clutch. As far as fixing it goes i would think there still might be a little stub from were both the wires were cut so u might get lucky and just be able to twist them back together on there old stubs.
Good luck |
