Question A Fuel Problem with '92 Caprice

I have a police model '92 Caprice. While the car is at an idle, the car will act as if it is running out of gas and stalls. I can restart the car, but I must accelerate quickly or the car stalls again. The problem seems worse in the heat and after it has been running for a period of time. I was thinking the problem could be the fuel pump, but I am not sure if that will solve it. Before I spend money and time on trying something without knowing if it will even fix the problem, I am looking for help. Any input would be appriciated on this problem.
Thanks,
DS99

Please read the sticky at the beginning of the Caprice forum. This thread is not only more than 90 days 'stale', it's almost 5 years old and I guarantee the OP has never posted on here again. He will never see this.
