please help

i have a 1968 mustang, i have 3 engins a 289 ho, a 302 and a 351, which would be the best bet to beat my buddys 1975 firebird transam, with a 455

Are you lookin to mod it or are we talking stock for stock. Even with a stock 351, you're gonna need a lot more oomph to take your buddy.

a 351 can be bored and stroked to 427. then just mod it and hit it with nos and you'll take your buddy or at least hang with him.

i'm sure there was at least one Mustang made with the 460 big block, probably a 70-something boss. must have been other cars built with it too... those motors aren't just for trucks =)

The size of the motor doesn't always mean the race the combination of motor and gears is what I would do anyway.

Nope. I'm pretty sure a 429 was the biggest motor a factory mustang ever came with. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Pretty sure 429 was the biggest 'stang engine. Some Contintentals had 460's, and I believe GM made some caddies with a 501.
