Sunroof leak

The other day after making a turn water started leaking out of the drivers side map light button. I brought it to the dealership and found out that any newer Yukon with J in the 11th digit of the VIN has a mis-aligned sunroof. I would think this would call for a recall, but obviously GM doesn't think so.

I have a 2003 Yukon SLT and does have the same "leaking" problem underneath the map light console especially after a heavy rainfall.

If GM knew that it's a "mis-aligned" sunroof, I would suggest that they better start looking and investigating this issue.

This leak may cause a "major electrical problem" which can trigger a short-circuit and a fire on the console which they will be fully accountable for.

I understand that basically technologies and constructions of different models / makes are different, HOWEVER please make sure that all your drainage from the sunruf are clearly opened. Sometimes piece of leaf or just dirt closing the drain pipes, so the water does not have any other ways, but just to go inside of the salon. you can use either soft wire, air gun & water under pressure to remove the colggs. You have to locate all of them. Usually there are 4 fout drain pipes. 2 front & two rear.
I have done it with my car also after I came out absolutely wet after the car wash.....
