Can u turn a T3 non wastegate to internal wastegate
Im trying to save some money here.I have a Garret T3 turbo but its not internally wastegated.Can I buy an actuator and just install it on the turbo somehow?Im not sure how the internally wastegated ones work.Please reply

hmmm...I'm not too sure. I know that you can go from an internal to external wastegate, but not sure if you can go the other way.
go to www.homemadeturbo.com and hit up one of the guys there. Jeff (AbaZ) is a member of a local honda site and the owner of the turbo site and he knows his stuff.

i have heard somewhere that external wastegates are much better than internal ones. i don't remember why though, this is just what i heard, so correct me if i'm wrong.

Ok thanks,my plan was instead of buying a wastegate to get welded on my manifold to just buy an internally charged turbo.Thanks
