newguy fixing up a '67 delta88

Greetings,
this is my first post here.

I am inheriting a '67 delta88 w/ only about 37k on it. Great condition, needs a major tune-up though, and it unfortunately hasn't been kept well. Lots of rust on the undercarriage, and brakes are messed, alignment is off, probably needs a lot of new hoses, wiring, misc parts. I am taking it upon myself with some friends to fully restore it and proceed to rule the streets of chicagoland.

I hope to find this board as a good source of information. Any other sites I should check out as well? I will have pics soon.

I use to have a 66 2 dr . I loved that car. I use to race kids all the time when i was in my teens. I raced anything that they thought could beat me. Ha they never did ,no vette, no T/A, no stang nothing. With 375 hp and 440 lbs of torque stock kinda kills a small block !! Olds faq is a good place for information. The hard issue for a 67 is trying to find out what bank angle your cam is. There is a casting letter on the driver side head in the front, left bottom corner above the #1 spark plug if it says "C" then you have some good stock heads. Like I said Olds Faq is a good resouce place. They have lots of part numbers and what it all means. I am building a 69 F block with 425 internalls just because I want a all forged motor. 425 s have forged cranks and rods ! Major bonus. They do require alot bigger oil pan ! They will suck the pan dry at HIGH RPMS! I could go on and on.Welcome and good luck , but most of all a bone stock BIG 67 Olds 98 4dr with a/c at my local track ran a 2.98 60 ft with a E.t of 9.7 in the 1/8 STOCK single exhaust 425 4 bbl roasting them over 1/2 track.
