I Just got a nissan and need some help

I would like to know what kind of motor to swap in, With little or no modifications to the engine bay. I know that the SR20DET is for nissan's but will it work with my 1990 240SX. Is there any other motors that fit this car.

turbo the KA its already in there and youll have more torque

theres no replacement for displacement

there are a few motors you can swap in, but not without modifying anything... the sr20det is a rather easy swap, but even that (depending on what year you have) is going to need some modifications to your power steering and linkage done... it really depends what you want to do with your 240... if you are trying to set it up for the track and go out and drift, then go with the sr. if you are looking for a straight up drag car, get an rb20det or go balls to the wall and get the rb25det. if you are looking for a basic all around quick car, get the turbo kits for your stock ka24de...

...forgot to mension- unless you have the ca motor (single overhead cam)... then i would say swap in a ka24de and turbo it

who has the CA motor and what do u mean by that sentence CA's never came in 240's

or just keep the ca and tune that...i dont think he bought the car and didnt no if it had a CA in it. maybe u ment if he had a KA24e single overhead cam??? as stealth j said ca never came in 240, would of had to have been previously swapped in.

yea CA came in japan, a 240sx never saw a CA unless it was swapped in.

but us 200sx had ca18et so...

but YOUR s13's came with CA18DET

and ive neevr heard of a 1.4 liter turbo

for your car turbo charging the sohc ka would not be a good idea, but a good swap is a ca18det, its what came in the 180sx in japan that year, and you dont have to modife anything to get it in there.

why isnt it a good idea, turbo sohcs are hella tight
