Unhappy My odometer is crazy!!!!!

I don't know what's going on but in the last 3 days my odometer gets crazy, suppous i'm driving at 25 mph and when I push the gas to the bottom the odometer jumps to 80 mph then to 40 mph, 30, 45, etc until it starts to work again and keep the 45 that it's suppous to be.
I know that this is pretty strange but i'm not crazy, please any suggestion.....
I don't want to send the car to my mechanic for something like that , and I can't take it to the dealer cause I have no idea of how to splain it to the
Thanks.

Re: My odometer is crazy!!!!!

My 97 RS had a similar problem about 8 months ago. Mine kept jumping around all over the place while driving and sometimes it would just stay at 0. The problem just went away on its own about 2 weeks later. I was never able to find out what was wrong with it.
