Stock Radio only option ... ?

Hey I just bought a new Dash Bezel for my 88 Blazer (full size) and the radio hole is very small. I don't want to bore it out at all due to my own personal preferences that I don't want to argue.

Anyway ... is a stock radio my only option that will fit in that hole(it's like 3 inches by 2 inches)? Can I mount the radio in my console? What can I do?

Thanks

Re: Stock Radio only option ... ?

Some jeep consoles have mounts, or on Spike TV i saw a company who makes old looking head units with modern electronics but i can't remember the name. The tuffy consoles are lockable, but i don't know if that's important to you.

scosche makes an underdash mounting kit that might work, it is pretty clean looking.

Re: Stock Radio only option ... ?

you would be alot better off getting a new cd player, they are usually alot smaller in height and width than factory head units, and ifthat doenst work you can get center consols that sit right between the front 2 seats and have specific holes for head units, check JC Whitney.com for prices
