Re: Tinting tail lights? how? how legal?
Check with DMV or the police department in you city or town. They will let you know what level of tint you can do to the tail lamps, windows, etc. Limits to tinting vary from state to state, so these are the people you'll want to talk to. Never used vht night shade, I just changed my tail lights to a different form, I didn't worry about tinting them. you may want to check out what different kind of lights are offered by the aftermarket.

its really simple, all you do is put this tinted plate over your lights. its always street legal everywhere i've ever been. but personally i think the tinting looks really ugly. i'd slap some altzeaas on if you really wanna get some custom looking lights.

Re: Tinting tail lights? how? how legal?
On my integra, I had altezzas but noticed just how common it was afterwards and I took them out and just got a can of spray paint and put a couple coints and it looked like crystal reds, the whole thing including my reversers were red and it gave it a tinted look compared to the stockers. You may want to give something like that a try. Plus it's a lot cheaper. I've never got any trouble from cops about it.
