Car Choice

Alright guys, i haven't posted in a while, but i think this one is worth it. Don't know if it is in the right section, but where else would you put it....I will be getting a "real" job soon and i am looking to finance a car. Here are my options, tell me what you think. 2004 VW R32 Golf, 2003 Mustang Cobra, WRX STI, S2000, TT Supra, or a Vette. I am looking to spend from $30,000 to $35,000. I like the R32 or the Supra myself, but am stuck. That R32 is sick with the Stage 3 kit from the factory.

Re: Car Choice

VW is just gonna break on you, brute force isn't my style so cobra and corvette are out, STI is cool, but I'm not a fan of AWD or the stupid boxer engine.

So leave myself with supra or s2000... I figured that was a nobrainer

Re: Car Choice

VETTE.. If ur gonna spend that kinda of money, get the fastest car and the car that all the girls love. You can't compare a vette to a golf, or sti or s2000 or supra, the vette is on another level.

Re: Car Choice

i think that you should drive them all and then decide because you never know what a car is really like before you get behind the wheel. You got a tough choice to make but i think that the supra is your best bet if you want a real sports car. Im in new york so i cant have most of these cars with the roads here being shit and the insurances sky high. Insurance on a vette here is 10k a year GRRR!

Re: Car Choice

i would have to say STI, you cant beat AWD and 300 horses from the factory, and they are durable as hell, except for the paint anyway

Re: Car Choice

supraTT just cuz of the amazing gains with a short list of mods, and those are definately in demand. and im a girl and i wouldnt care if a guy drives a vette (i'd think he's a 40 year old geezer) (oops no offense if you are actually that old..im just young) or get an s2000 cuz its rwd sport car like the supra. but it is your own personal preference if you like rwd or awd. awd is nice, but if you can drive awd the way its meant to be driven. limited center slip differential is very nice indeed.

Re: Car Choice

and the s2000 and sti would be newer cars so thats less beating on it than if you were buying one of the older models cuz u know the previous owner was prolly beating the hell out of it before selling it to you.

Re: Car Choice

The Main Reason i did not put the Evo on the list is for this reason. The turbo is pushing 20-22 PSI of boost from the factory, and it is only making 260HP. That is inefficient as hell. I can push ten puonds on my engine and get thos kind of gains. I am going to test drive em before i buy one, but i was just trying to narrow it down. My current setup is fine, but i want something that can put the power to the ground with AWD or RWD. Don't get me wrong, i love my car, i just want something different at the same time.
