I have a 1994 Astro and some neighborhood kids entered it and broke the turnsignal lever and the shroud itself.
I've ordered the replacement parts and am curious if anyone has experience in replacing the shroud that could give me a few pointers? Thanks in advance, J |

Re: Need to replace the Steering Column Shroud
I'm currently taking my steering column apart, 1st remove the small shroud or cover from under the turnsignal and disconnect the cruise control connector then your turnsignal lever pulls straight out, if yours is broken you might need to pull the stub or whatever is left. To replace the turnsignal shroud requieres removing the airbag, steering wheel and turn mechanism , you need special puller, torx drivers, snap ring remover. I'm currently upto this point in my dissassembly.
