european oil for european car?

Mobil 1 sells a 0w40 full syn that bills itself as a "European Car Formula" on the bottle. now that i have a european car, i thunk to myself, and wonder if it's better for my car than the usual 5w30 mobil 1 full syn. i live in a relatively mild climate with only a handful of extreme weather days per year(charlotte, nc). thoughts?
