Re: mod to make non-turbo turbo?
the easiest way is to get a turbo ready motor cuz you need to rebuild your complete engine if you want to turbo yours with turbo equiped stuff.
Well actually you should just look for a tsi cuz theres alot of shit besides the motor you need to do to make yours turbo. |

turning a non turbo motor into a turbo motor will be expensive and time consuming ur friends best bet is to sell his car and take the money he was going to spend on making it turbo and putting it together and geting an already turbo car but if he doesnt want to do that check out dsmtrader.com u might be able to find a motor

Your friend is in the same boat as myself though my reasons for getting a ESI instead of a TSI are different, if he doesnt mind spending the green cheak out Hahnracecraft.com he can order the whole turbo kit with all the electical for around $3000.00 which is a good price for what you get.....

Re: mod to make non-turbo turbo?
save money sell the call buy a tsi gst or whatever.. ESi compression is 9.5:1 where as Tsi is 8.5:1..meaning youll have to changes out rods pistons and maybe crank.. crank is almost inpossible to find.. and it you are gonna do this look at spending 1500 just for OEM pistons.. machine work.. rods, and crank.. .. then turbo head.. manifold.. the turbo.. Geez Just buy a whole tsi motor..IC (intercooler).. ECU..exhaust.. gauge cluster.. the extra sensors needed for the turbo.. GEEZ just trade your car in.. might take awhile but it will be alot easier and smoother proccess
