I found this issue on this board (and my car of course) and checking the www.alldata.com I also found some recalls on this topic (at least I hope). My question is if the recalls mentioned here do address this issue or not. The site is http://www.alldata.com/TSB/29/99292332.html and the recalls are listed under "Safety Recalls":
TSB Number Issue Date TSB Title 02I-002 JUN 03 Recall - ABS Coil Integrated Module Replacement SB03-09-S001C JUN 03 Recall - Brake Coil Integrated Module Replacement Should I expect the dealer to fix this for free or am I being too naive. Thanks |

Safety recalls should be free.

Re: 1999 Rodeo - ABS motor keeps runing (even with the key off)
Thnaks for the reply, but my question is if anyone knows if any of those recalls are about my problem?

Just take it to a dealer. They can perform the work that needs to be done and they should be able to tell you if your problem is related to the defective items.

I had to pull the fuse also to stop the ABS module from running all the time. Going into the dealership today to have it replaced.
Personally, I feel the braking is much better without the ABS, hopefully the new module will also resolve that issue. Mikeybat |
