Re: woman lost

Ty for backing me up , although this is the first time ive heard of a tensioner not working properly and that it is a common problem. Id like to hear from people who have had problems with it and what caused it to not too work properly.

Re: woman lost

I just needed to replace my tensioner. When I lifted on it to replace my alternator, the whole tensioner slid away from the engine instead of lifting up.

Re: woman lost

It could just be defective from the factory. When I got my 2000 Dodge stratus, (the car I traded in for my GA GT) it had a defective wheel bearing. It happens. When the hot metal is poured to form the parts, sometimes you get weak spots. Or hard spots. Either one can cause early wear. Sometimes, if you get water in the bearings you can get a rusted spot which weakens the metal too.
