sliding troubles...

Hi, I have sliding troubles with my escort! I tried the handbrake couple of times, the car just slowed down. I tried left foot braking, car just slowed down. Is it because im not traveling fast enough? I was going around 60 kmh in a parking lot. Tell me how to slide plz if u are an Escort racing veteran!
