Unhappy Security light on and won't start

I have a chevy implala 2002 and it's been a great car. Until passlock shuts off my car and I can not drive it. This will be the second time I've taken it to the dealer ship to get it "fixed". Is there a way I can overide passlock and start my car, with out waiting 20 mins. to drive it?

Not that I know of. On many GM vehicles with the Passlock II feature, the ignition lock cylinder fails, causing the theft system to go nuts. Ask your dealer to inspect the ignition lock cylinder for proper operation.

Impala

Not sure why you're posting about the Impala in the Alero area, but yeah, the ignition lock cylinder has been a problem with Malibus, Grand Ams, and Aleros. From what my Chevy dealer says, not one issue with the Impala lock cylinder.
