90 GT Mods?

Ok. I'm sorry if I sound a bit repetative.

I finally (yay!) got my Celica. It's a 1990 GT 5spd with a smidgen of rust in the hatch, which can be fixed, and a lot of milage. 210,000 km. I think that if I keep it in good condition, that it will last me a lot longer.

Anywho, while I like it right now with the 5S-FE engine in it, but later on I will be wanting to put more power in that baby. I've read as much as I can on the boards, but I am still confused. I want to add more power, but still have the regular drive-ability. Looking at around the 250hp range?

What are my options here? What do I need to do if I want to put a turbo kit in?

What do I need to do to put a 3S-GTE or 7M-GTE engine in? Will I have to change my ECU, transmission, harnesses, drive train, etc?

How much will it cost to do those modifications?

Thanks very much for the help.

Re: 90 GT Mods?

you 'will' need a new ECU if you want turbo.. the stock one for a 5SFE will not control it.. other than that I am unsure..

One more thing, a Turbo will fit on your current engine if you decide to stick with it, but like I said you'll need a new ECU
