unreliable?

hey,

How unreliable is the 3rd gen rx-7. Ive been hearin thee pretty unreliable. I was jsut wonderin how often they break down and how mcuh maintenec is required.more than a piston engine?

Its not that they're "unreliable", it's that they take special care and maintance. Just do A LOT of research before you buy one and you should be fine.

It has alot less moving parts than a piston engine, and if you take care of it then it will be reliable. An engine is only as reliable as the nut behind the drivers seat...

Rotary engines recquire more oil changes... and a responsible owner! Due to their low-torque\high revs way of making power, they do wear --- take good care of it and you should be fine.
