1999 k2500 6.0 fuel pump replacement

I think i need to replace the fuel pump because the truck does not start night away. if the tank is full ut starts easier or if the truck is just been turned off it will start right up. I had a fuel pressure test done and they said that it is propbally the check valve in the fuel pump. How dissicult is it to replace the fuel pump assemble and is $ 400.00 a good proce for the fuel pump.
