Honda Accord Coupe V6 VS Nissan 350Z
ok, first of all this is the status:
Accord Coupe 2004: 5 Speed Automatic Twin Turbo V6 Un-tuned (never planed on to, i like originals) 240 HP. (this is why i'm pissed) Nissan 350Z (i thinks, this is wut he told me after we had a lil drag) : 6 Speed Mannual : Twin Turbo (i thinks, too dark, can't see) : V6 : Un-tuned (looks like the fucker dont have the the cash to even tune the rims) : 180 ? 287 ? ( when i checked, it was 2887, the dumbass in the car said it was 180, any one care to explain that?) if it was 180, i doubt it can top me. but if it was 287, i bow to it's superior. so is there 2 differ model? If any one live in Orange County, i was on Brookurst street from Bolsa going to eh i think it was Warner. So i saw this guy across me while we just pass a light. so i speed up... he speed up after me, i ramp the gas straight on D ( just D), he was at the 1st mark, then i pass him like 2 cars away, he start pulling to the 2nd and 3rd mark. he was able to line and pass me. Mine isn't tuned, his wasn't as well. if it was the 287, i dont mind being beat, i go for luxurious cars, not speed, but i like it from time to time. So, he beat me... sob... i lost, so horrbile, any one know away i can tune my car, wihtout damageing it much, to be able to at least equal or top the 350Z. Please give abit of advice ^_^.

Ok 1st things 1st, the idiot you raced knew NOTHING aboutht he vehicle he was driving, the 350z is a 3.5 liter V6 287 Hp engine the 04 Accord is 3.0 liter V6 240 Hp, the 350z does not come factory with any force induction, The only current Twin Turbo setups are NOT cheap Top Secret 10k, Power Enterprises 7k, Greddy 5k, and a supercharger from stillen and prochager from C1, if the guy had been twin turbo he would have KILLED you right of the line, i should know i own a 2004 V6 Accord coupe M/T 6 speed, and my girlfriend owns a 350z also M/T 6 speed, she has only beat me by 1/2 a car length, granted she is a pretty good driver, but remember the 350z is a Sportscar, the Accord is a Sport Sedan, meant more for sport luxury, also the 350z has much closer gear ratio and a wider wheelbase so its wider rims/tires and lower center of gravity will give it a better launch, usually FF cars have slightly lower performance than FR cars, unless you tune yours, you may want to look up Injen, and AEM they both make Intakes giving you about 13 to 18 hp gain AEM is better that is what i now have, as for headers there are NONE the exhaust manifold is connected to the block somehow, you would have to do some cutting and EXPENSIVE fabrication, as for exhaust try customizing, buy some universal exhaust you like and get mandrel bent pipping, i don't recommend anything bigger than 2.25 inches, (you will lose HP unless you are turbo or Supercharged) the only company im familiar with that has exhaust built for the v6 accord is Greddy, around $1,100.00 unknown HP gains. Don't feel so bad, about getting beat even a shitty driver can beat you in a car with much more hp than yours, there is a 37 hp diff and lets not forget torque,..
P.S the V6 accord DOES NOT come in twin turbo setup either, if you had your tranny would have blown to bits without ONE HELL of a torque converter and tranny $ oil cooler,NO ONE and i do mean NO ONE is currently working on such a thing, believe me i've inquired with all the well known and not so well know companies, comptech is the only company working on a Supercharger & downpipe w/ full exhaust setup, but we will be waiting at leaset 1 yr for a release date, |

Welcome to the forum...but that post was 6 weeks old, please don't bring them back from the dead, especially when it's obvious he didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

Re: Honda Accord Coupe V6 VS Nissan 350Z
Maybe he confused the Dual Over Head Cam for being "Twin Turbo?" I can't think of any other reason someone would think either of those cars has a Twin Turbo. And I just love the "un-tuned" yet running a twin turbo...

DOHC on the 350Z i can understand...maybe...but my accord is SOHC, this poor guy was just hella uneducated in the way of tuning, or he would not be running and "un-tuned" twin turbo, ...LOL...AAHHAHAAH, im sure he has learned his mistake by now....(i hope),
