Just got back from my first ever 1 hour personal training session. Didn't even do the full program the dude worked out for me and can hardly stand! 3 x 12 on the leg extensions at 150kg for 6 second reps and I could hardly use my clutch on the way home. Gonna go lick my wounds. Meant to be clubbing all night tonight. Shit shit shit.

FUCK. Went to Mardis Gras last night (with fuck off gorgeous Swiss chick snuggled up nice and close
) then clubbing to Hard Trance for 3 hours. If I thought I was sort yesterday...And I'm meant to be going back and doing the whole routine on Tuesday. Holy crap! I will post up the whole routine when I bring it home on Tuesday and get some feedback on it.

taking time off DOES NOT help unless you mean like work out every other day.... but if u mean like take a week of from working out... it may hurt but it doenst help muscle growth...

it should be 48hr max rest when you work out... it is recommended to work out 3 times a week, or every other day....

I'm not talking about the leg press - I can push about 340kg on that, it is like the muscles at the top of your thighs clean lifting upwards.
I am in so mcuh pain still today (Monday - 48h later) that I am starting to worry. The muscles feel completely seized. I can't walk straight and it's affecting my sleep really badly. Is there anything to be done for it?

When I played hockey mate I played up to 7 games a week, a-grade even. Used to get that, would be teaching myself how to walk each week. My tip, might not work, but it can, take a long hot bath, rub it all the time you're in there, and use the muscles, ie - when my legs TOTALLY DIED (I went from the leagues quickest player on the weekend to the slowest in my club at wednesday training every week) I still trained, get them moving, pump blood through them, nothing TOO drastic, but get the muscles active.

As for the sleep deprivation, welcome to my world, the fitter I get, the less i sleep, lol, because my body lets me punish my legs more, they used to be HUGE but I paid for it in other ways. I cant wait for that stage again, lol!!!!
