Angry Replaced alternator but new battery keeps going dead!

HELP! replaced alternator & battery won't stay charged!
PLEASE help before i pull out all of my hair...i just had a load of work done to my 92 3.4L euro lumina...oil seal,head gasket set replaced, timing belt,spark plugs, s plug wires, timing blt tensioner, drive blt tensioner, valve seals, battery & alternator!!!!!!!! paid over 2000$, what the heck could it be?? if the alternator & battery are replaced, what else? it was staying charged for 3 days after the alt was installed. OH! and there is a miss in the engine & i have no idea what is causing it...and neither does my idiot mechanic! when I hit about 50 mph, it shakes! PLEASE HELP!

hi i just got a 3.1 93 v6 well im haveing the same sort of problem first week i get a leak from the trans secound the starter goes 3 week either the alternator is going or the battrey now we think it is the alternator but not 100% so we will have to change that also the dash light battrey warrning light comes on so it makes me think its the batrey and the battrey indicator on the dash board is on 8v not half way so im not sure what it it yet?????

First thing I would do is take the battery to where you bought it (or autozone) and see if it holds a charge. Secondly, have your alternator checked (even though you say it was just replaced... it still could be bad)...check your battery cables (positiveAND negative) for cleanliness... have your coil checked lastly.

After you do what SlamminMOfo recommends, I would check the current flow with the ignition switch in the off position, possible short and high current draw.

I had a new one put in but...

It was a bad alternator...had it replaced again! Now the cars main problem is the miss in the engine that no one can diagnose
