I need help really fast to get my game working

I recently installed need for speed underground and when I start the game I get graphics that are all split up and I can't see any words and now I don't know what to do. can someone please help me?

i never encountered this problem but make sure your video card driver is up to date, and be sure to download the latest patch from www.needforspeed.com

thanks alot for helping but it turns out my video card is not good enough for the game so I bought it for nothing.
