key broken off in ignition 87 van
Okay, now on top of my other woes, I broke the key off in my ignition today. Has anyone ever just installed a switch in an old Toyota for starting the thing? I opened up the steering column and found 7 wires. Not sure which one's I'd wire into the thing. Any suggestions?

okay, answered my own question. Just remove the plastic cover on the steering column, and remove the one screw holding the ignition wire harness to the keylock and it will easily slide out. a flathead will fit nicely in there so that you can turn the ignition.
