Need headlight info

Got a 90 hatchback the other day, former owner busted the drivers side headlight somehow, and the one that is there now sits back almost 1" more than it should. The story the woman told me is "the shop put it in wrong" The radiator support is not bent, all body lines/gaps line up like they should except for the headlight,I think I may have a 88-89 headlight that they rigged to work. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance.

Re: Need headlight info

88-91 headlights are all the same.

Is it bent up from the accident?

Re: Need headlight info

Right.

Yes, the mounting brakets are different. They should bolt in the same, but the corner lights will be different.

Their is an adjustment screw in the back of the headlight assembly where you can adjust the horizontal position of the headlight, you will have to remove the headlamp assembly to access it easier it's kind of hard to reach with assembly installed, and will also need a screwdriver or something to turn it.
