Braking Power... Where has it gone

It has been "missing" for a couple of weeks now. I have been dealing with it but today i almost rear-ended someone. The front pads have 50%, the rear ones are new. We did bleed the brakes after replacing the rear. We bleed the little nipple thing on the caliper ( i think that is where they are) with a hand vac. Do i have to bleed the master cylinder?

I really dont know where to start when it comes to brakes.

yeah.. makes two of us... i hate the stock brake on our eclipse... >:O.. so weak. wanna get a better one. but the rambo is so expensive. !!

your right, you want to bleed the nipples on the calipers and you can use hand vac, but you want to make sure you have enough fluid in the master cylinder. if you have to people it is easier. one can work the fitting on the caliper and the other pump the breaks. i can describe in more detail the process if you need, but make sure that both resivors are full of brake fluid. if they are and you still ar having a problem with braking you may have a seized caliper or a bad mastercylinder. you can tell if the caliper is seized by looking at the brake pads and if one is more drastically worn than the other it is more than likely bad. to check your master, look around the outside to see if there is any leakage on the top or around any of the links between the master and the caliver. good luck.

they do suck buy green stuff brake pads and buy vented discs i got mine for 50 a pieace not that expensive and then save a lil money and buy some type of brake calipers i bought wildwood
