Cool Hot off the workbench...350Z Track Edition w/two-tone paint scheme

Just started this a week ago, and have been working on a Nismo Skyline 350GT as well...there's a show this weekend where I hope they both can debut.

This one's pretty simple out of the box, I chose bright rims over the ones I painted in a darker shade as the bright ones looked better on the finished model. The two-tone is inspired by one my friend built as a modern BRE variation, and this may become the basic paint scheme on his 1:1 Silverstone Gray Track Edition w/a Nismo body package. I decided to try a bit of chrome to separate the two colors...I like it, but I'm not sure if a colored stripe might be better. We shall see. The interior is done in similar shades as the exterior.

For information on the buildup, check out the thread:

That is absolutely stunning! Great job on the two-tone, and good color choice too.

I like the lighter wheels on it too, and I like where the darker color comes too on the rear better in finished form.

Wish I could go to the show this week.

Wowzers! I like the chrome beltline better than that red one at the back... It doesn't jive in the pics.

Nice work, though!! Would make a great racing livery!

Very nice. I like how you did the 2 tone. What did you use to separate the 2 colors? Is that BMF? Can't wait to see your Nismo V35 finished.

Excellent finish. I love the two-tone effect it works perfectly with the Z car.

Great! The colors and the chrome stripe are perfect. Good, clean work. That's what it's all about.
