Tom Daniels' California Street Vette

Built this up about four years ago, and since I had the camera with me today, I decided to click off a few pics. The one that didn't come out too clear has a picture of Tm with the real car, back when he had it on the streets of LA.

Just gorgeous! I've been wonderin' about the car hiding in your avatar. Thanks for showing it. Completely fantastic. Is it a kit, or heavily modified? Either way, just gorgeous! I can't find a single flaw.

Very nice! This is one of the kits on my wish list. You can find them on ebay, but they bring a good amount.
I love your coor on this too! Very well done!

The mention of the color reminded me, even though I used Testers Boyds Orange Pearl, in correspondence Tom Daniel told me what the color really was.

"The tough part is always the paint, which was a kind of Tangerine color (it wasn't really orange)... and was a mixture of Porsche yellow core, with Murano pearl over spray, which reflected and refracted the light to the viewers eye in ever changing hues."

He said it wasn't easy to duplicate. So if someone wanted to do a perfect replica, good luck!
