rollhard

I am curious about your car. Can you gives the stats and mods? Pics?
What track are you usually racing at (you are not to far from me)?

Are you on the MR2 board?

11.9 @ 122 is quite feasible (especially with his turbocahrger - T67)
.. obviosuly I ran a 11.8 @ 123.

The part that I question is that he lives within 2 hours of me and I do not know him. I do not mean that to sound obnoxious.
I have just been in the MR2 comunity for over 10 years and find it surprising that I have not heard of his car.

A good friend of mine did confirm that he knows rollhard, but is unaware of his MR2 project.

I use Redline MTL in my tranny and Castrol Syntec 10W30 in the engine.
I have never heard of "purple oil".

That is wierd no one knows about our project except for all the people that went to the IDRC events. lol. Our shop was in boundbrook and we have been open since 1998. i just sold the business in december. Anyways we were next door to what is now turbotrix and we constantly dyno tuned the mr2. my motor was machined in new york, tuned by andre, and other misc work done by a friend of mine (vinny ten). Mike and Hubie from spi built the motor. I had the time slip posted on rollhard.com but i need to repost it. Ill have pictures for you soon. The car made a lot of power for the mods i had. If you want to read on ill explain what happened with this car! = ) we had it on the dyno with stock turbo, our own intake, n1 exhaust, afc, avcr and the car made 126whp. I wanted to cry. after tuning with the afc we pulled to 185whp. i def wanted over 200whp so we kept at it. ok now what happened REALLY sucked. someone said to change my afc settings in/out set. When the afc is changed like that, you need to reset it. Well we didnt so the afc stopped working. we didnt reset the ecu and it freaked out and went into safe mode where it was making the car run super duper rich. We compensated it on the afc and totally leaned it. We made 3 more pulls 227whp and then 232whp. Well after the dyno session, i reset the ecu but didnt change the afc setting so it was way too lean and the headgasket blew. Thats when we started with the building process. JE pistons, HKS gasket, total seal rings, eagle rods, t67, manifold, machining, wg, afc, avcr, dp, power extreme exhuast, hmmm, im trying to remember everything. We strapped the car on the dyno right after i broke it in 500miles and dynoed it on 93 pump gas. This was at spi, and we didnt even do an oil change. Mind you this is only with afc and ignition timing adjustments we made 308whp. We did get a check engine light on that day and it was the afm and knock sensor signal. i think it is twos r us that has that adaptor for the camaro knock sensor so i got that, and did some more tuning and we added a fuel pump and 550 injectors. Dont ask how but we ran that 11.9 with stock injectors at 1.4 bar boost duty cyle on avcr set at 80% and stock intercooler. yes it gets heat soaked! hehe. The car has been running perfect for over a year now aside from the tranny. i guess i get luck in my cars but i am very careful with the tuning. i dont want to blow a motor just to get a faster time at the track or have dyno bragging numbers. My eclipse ran 12s with only minor bolt ons and we didnt understand either. The mr2 is the same way. Anyways hyde, im in parsippany and i am pretty sure i have seen you at ATCO. there was some with the same color as you running high 12s and low 13s with a completely stock car. i couldnt believe it until i saw myself. he had an hks evc, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock everything aside from boost controller and i watched him run a 13.0 it was unreal.

Thanks for taking the time to share your story.
I am certain you did not see me at Atco though
I was only there once back in 1998.

Hyde has only run at Maple Grove and at Cecil County.
I plan on touring NJ this summer.

I asked about you on the MR2 board.
Check out this thread:
http://128.143.134.120/mr2oc/showthr...&threadid=1555

We are having an MR2 gathering at Maple Grove raceway on March 27 (Saturday) ... let me kno if you are interested. You can race or spectate.

Nice to meet you

I live in north jersey but im in south jersey every weekend. my time slip was posted on our website a long time ago. i need to find it and email to you. my 60 ft was terrible but then it pulled so freakin hard to 1/8 and so on. I showed my time slip to a friend and he said something might have been funky with the fuel. cant understand nor will i pretend to know everything. lol

Re: rollhard

for the most amount of runs, you definately want to go to atco. everytime i went to atco i have been able to get atleast 4-5 runs where as e-town is insane. too crowded and their inspection is strict.

yeah, in a previous thread i posted that i wanted to get rid of my car. i am a college student-why in the heck did i take out a loan at the age of 18 to buy a new car? who the heck knows. i am 21 now, and it is almost paid off. i am just tired of the car. i want to sell my car for atleast 15k, buy a 94 mr2 turbo, and then dump 3-4k into it. then, of course save the rest (yeah right).
those pics you posted look great! if i may say, yes, i am envious.

well, i posted this in my previous thread: anyone here play golf? can you stick golf clubs in the car and still have a passenger?
