Hi all, i have a odd question.
I am planning to go on a roadtrip this summer, from NYC to LA. We are 4 people planning to do the trip, and therefore we thought it would be nice to have a convertible car. The problem is: Is it big enough? I have looked alot on a Chrysler 1996 Sebring JXi convertible, but i dont know if it would be roomy enough... As i said we are 4 adult, midsized people. We have about 1 bag each with our cloth to the trip. Does anyone have some thoughts about that so please enlighten me. Another thing is: We dont know what would be the best, to buy one or rent one. We can buy one for approx 5000$ in NYC, but does anyone have an idea if its sellable in LA, and for how much? Else we should rent one, but thats about 2500$ for one month (a bit prizy...) and it should be returned to NYC... Please help me. best regards from Drzukunft |

Re: Odd question about size of Sebring
Just a quick note. Not even a Munchkin would be comfortable in my 95 for a long trip. . As long as the passengers in the back arent tall, they may have enough leg room. The trunk holds quite alot if packed correctly. Buy the car for 5K and sell it when you get back! Good Luck!

I spent a month driving my 96 vert across east side of the states. From Miami in the south and almost to the Canadian boarder and back. Sometimes I slept in the car and drove almost constantly for 3 days and 2 nights. Never had any problems with my back, or sore muscles due to the seating. Buy a car and sell it when you are done. Just be sure that the car has less than 100 000 miles, or if it has more... that timing-belt, water-pump and plugs have been changed. It`s not funny being left stranded somewhere with a damaged motor, due to a broken belt. Anyway, I`ve heard of people driving 120 000 miles without changing, but it`s a bit more unconvenient if things happen, ones you are more than a days drive from home.. Good luck and have a safe trip.
