The flasher seems to make a Clicking noise, like it does when the siganl lights, and hazard light are being used..Both signal and hazards work properly. The clicking usually go's away but when it's clikcing...man that thing is continuas...And not to mention annoying....any body have an idea what's going on...???

Re: Continues Clicking Flasher

From what you described, that's a normal sound of the flasher. For some reason, different flashers are either louder or quieter (i.e. different manufacturers)...

Im having the same problem with my 99. The signal and hazards work fine but after turning them off they continue to click. I changed the hazard switch but the clicking goes on. Not sure what to do either? Could it be coming from the Signal/winshield wiper/ control module on the steering column?

Angry

Hi..I had the same problem with my 2000 Grand Am. It was suggested that the problem was in the remote keyless entry. I eventually had the remote disconnected because of the turn signals not working at CERTAIN times. Also I found if I ran the daytime running lights.. the sound would STOP. Now I just have a problem with the turn signals not coming on at CERTAIN times.. and I have NO remote keyless entry.
Not to mention the fact that my heater only works at different times too. ....I have went to the cleaners with this car. (huge maintenance bills)

Several previous posts deal with this issue. My 1999 has the same problem. Replaced the switch but the clicking is still present. My problem is with the turn signal/wiper assembly. Smoke even comes out sometimes when I use the turn signal. I have ordered a used assembly from a junkyard with a 6 month warranty for $30. New from the dealer they are $135. The problem is one or the other and replacing either is not difficult. Some GA's are covered under a recall. But I think this is only for the switch and not the assembly.
