I'm a complete noob to car audio. I have about $2000 to spend on a system, and I would like to install something that sounds good (bass would be nice, but nothing too big, just enough to sound good). The only thing is, the radio panel is REALLY smal since its an older car, I don't think most head units would fit into it. What can be done to put sound systems into older cars? Also, what do you guys recommend for what I am looking for, as far as speakers, head unit, and subs go? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Found it! Custom AutoSound This company does great things with factory stereos from stealth to origional look. Seriously look into this for to maintain an uncut dash. Also, if you don't mind cutting the back of the glove box out you can install a deck in there or you can get an under dash mounting kit. hope this helps!
