Settle some BS for me.
Ok, I used to have a 97 Prelude myself, but it was only temporary. I never ran it at the track and I can't remember to save my life what the 1/4 mile times for those cars are to save my life. There's a local ricer club, as in ghetto bumf&ck morons, in the town I live in that have their own message board that I've been reading because it is quite entertaining, and one of them posted something about the '97 Prelude V-tec running like 15.7 bone stock. I know this isn't right. If I remember correctly it's like 14.9-15.2. Am I correct? I used to post on this board a lot when I had my '93 Prelude Si, rest in peace. This is the only board I could think of that would answer my question sensibly without a bunch of BS. Thanks for the help.

14.9-15.2 is correct (WITH GOOD DRIVER)
The average driver hits around 15.3-15.6

Re: Settle some BS for me.
was it the 5 speed or 4 speed sport shift model this guy was talkin about? if it was the sportshift model, that's definately believable. signal is right, 15.3 to 15.6 seem about right for a stock prelude. i've never seen it personally myself, but there have been people who claim to get 14.9 stock, or just with an intake.

Re: Settle some BS for me.
it's all about the driver. i used to suck ass at drag racing (i thought i was good). i would run 15.9's in my lude, and one of the guys i work with would make fun of me at the track, saying crap like "you shift terrible" and "you obviously don't know what you're doing". one day he pissed my off and i asked if he could do any better and threw him my keys. lil bitch ran a 14.9. needless to say... embarassing learning experience. -still can't get a 14.9 myself
