Timing

Hey guys, I've got a '00 GSR that'll be running 8-9 pounds with a JRSC and Boost Kit. For those who've altered their timing, my question is what is the optimal timing setting for this setup? Fuel system is still stock, Nology HotWires are the only ignition upgrade so far. Any word is appreciated. Thanks.

stock timing, if any adjustment maybe a very slightly retarded spark, but you should be alright with the stock timing, just listen and make sure you dont get any detonation. Get some colder than stock spark plugs and make sure the gap of the plug is low enough for the boost. At that level of boost you do need to upgrade the fuel system though. The easiest way is with a boost dependent fmu, and a high pressure inline fuel pump. I dont know about the teg but in my civic over 4.5 psi the stock fuel pressure regulator cant keep up with the fuel needed for boost.

Along with the pulley, included is a higher vol. fuel pump (one already came with the sc), boost timing controller, plugs, and thermostat. With the VAFC I'll be able to control the fuel output. The tech at JR said that around 8 deg was good for street, and around 10 to 12 for the strip. Stock is 16, so I'll just go from there. Thanks.
